Raul Ciurtin is the entrepreneur who turned Albalact from a bankrupt factory into a company which fights multinationals in the diary industry.
Over the past five years, the company of Raul Ciurtin, which is listed in the second category of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, increased its turnover by more than two times, and advanced two positions in the classification of producers, being now ranked third.
“We are now in a period when I find important maintaining Albalact’s turnover and driving as much profit as possible”, says Raul Ciurtin. The company has been growing year after year, even if at a slower pace after the outset of the crisis. During the boom period the annual growth rate reached up to tens of percent, the growth back then was sound. In 2006 only the industry overall advanced by one third, and the company enjoyed a 70% increase in sales.
Over the past five years, the company’s turnover increased by more than two times and a half, and despite him being a proof that the Romanian entrepreneurs fight shoulder to shoulder the multinationals, the results do not make Raul Ciurtin walk tall, but rather, as himself says, remain “highly careful” to what is happening on the market.
