Albalact makes a strategic management change in a time when the company is ranked second in the top of Romanian diary producers, and keeps consolidating its market leadership position with important investments and large projects. Stephane Batoux, former General Manager of Coca-Cola Romania, and a top French executive on FMCG market, was co-opted in the top management of Albalact as General Manager.
Stephane Batoux is thus taking over the development plans of the company from Raul Ciurtin, the Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, who was running Albalact from the General Manager’s seat too for four years.
“Albalact has been growing a lot over the past years, became the largest Romanian diary company, and is today the leader in important segments of the industry. The strategy of the company continues to target growth. We have just concluded new investments, and expanded the production capacities, innovated the portfolio and brought unique products to the market, while other projects are still in the pipeline. Albalact is now entering a new development stage, a decisive one, and this demands for a well structured and visionary management. We have always striven to build the company’s strategy with good people who know not only where to look for opportunities, but see the outlooks too. Stephane Batoux has long and valuable management experience in FMCG industry, and comes to perfect a team of professionals who have been soundly building the evolution and performances of the company over the past years”, says Raul Ciurtin, President of Albalact.
Stephane Batoux will be running the company as of today, while Raul Ciurtin remains the Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
“I am extremely happy to join one of the most dynamic companies on the Romanian diary market of the past five years, a company which have proven its capacity to win by enhancing profitability. I am particularly excited with the long-term strategic plans put in place by Albalact, and I will put my FMCG experience and expertise on the diary market at service to help the company growth further”, says Stephane Batoux, the new General Manager of Albalact.
Stephane Batoux joins Albalact after a 2-year General Manager office with Coca-Cola HBC Romania. Before that, Stephane Batoux used to run the business of Danone Romania as General Manager for three years.
The new General Manager of Albalact is 49 years old, and holds a MBA obtained from the High Commerce School (École Supérieure de Commerce) in Bordeaux, France. Stephane Batoux is a father for three girls.
Albalact, the largest dairy producer with Romanian majority capital, climbed last year to the second position among the producers in the Romanian dairy industry. Last year, the company reported a turnover of RON 423,185,587, going up by 23%, and a profit of RON 8,400,362, that is 14% higher than the profit in the previous year.
